We put the tup with the sheep this last week, he will hopefully mate with them over the next few weeks.   The blue colour on his front his known as raddle, an oil based mark.  This is put on so we know which sheep he has mated with, we change the colour as the weeks go on so we know roughly when the sheep will be due to lamb.   The tup (ram) is a Texel breed.

Lambing time starts in around 144 days!
